With war raging in Gaza, the US Embassy in Amman was one of the critical diplomatic hubs in the Middle East bussling with diplomatic activity. With few contractors willing to go to the Middle East during this time, the Department of State asked T4 if we would be willing to go to Amman to train and supervise the outfitting of the largest general work areas in the Embassy even with the war raging nearby. No problem. T4 answered the call. Using the Embassy’s cleared local facilities staff, T4 undertook the full management of the project including all logistics, staging, and assembly of the new systems furniture for the general work area and surrounding private offices. The modular systems furniture collection was from AllSteel, a brand T4 knows well. In the course the next 12 working days, T4 and the embassy team was able to install the 120+workstations divided into 3, 4, 6, and 8 person clusters section by section in order to allow the most of the staff to work while the T4 team tackled each section, removing the old furniture for that section, completely installing the new furniture for that section, and then moving onto to the next section. Installing in a working office and being conscious of the noise and disruption caused by the installation work is a furniture installation skill that must be mastered.
